Meet Shady at 80—the OG, the queen, and quite possibly the woman who started it all.
She’s been throwing shade since the beginning and looking fabulous while doing it. The queen of the caftan, the bucket hat, and a pair of oversized sunglasses, she taught us everything we know about what it means to be a true Shady Lady.
This piece is especially close to my heart because it is dedicated to my grandmother, Gammy—a woman who has made fabulous look effortless for as long as I can remember.
And if there was one thing Gammy knew, it was how to host. Dinner parties, holidays, or just a casual Tuesday—no day was a bad day to get the silver out and serve a martini. She made gathering feel special, dressing up feel necessary, and having a good time feel like an art form.
Because before there were Shady Ladies, there was Gammy.
Shady at 80 is a celebration of her—and of every woman who reminds us that fabulous has absolutely no age limit.
A lifetime of fabulous and proof that shade only gets better with age. 🕶️
